Mushy Devlog #2: Abilities & Stamina


After the last post about Mushy's 🍄 new ability to dash ⏩ , I figured "if he can dash, why can't he jump?".. And so this jumping ⏫ thing was implemented. After that the natural thing to ask was of course "hey how do I don't break the game with all these omniscient powers?"

And that's how the all too familiar Stamina Bar was created. Now we need to add a parry system and all order will be restored =P . On a serious note though, I do need to re-balance the game and to add new challenges and ways to take advantage of these abilities. Hope to include some of them in my next posts.

 Some questions for you guys

- Should I add a delay before the stamina restoration starts?

- What about changing restoration rate based on movement (moving is slow, idle is fast)?

- Would you change anything in the UI/UX and if so, what? 

Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts, insights, suggestions.. anything can be valuable so don't be shy!
